Head Above Water was originally founded by group of mates in response to the high rate of suicide on Sydney's Northern Beaches and the mental health challenges faced by many in the community.

We’ve built an incredible team whose mission is to build mental fitness from the grassroots up to help prevent mental illness and reduce suicide across Australia.

Together with our partners, advisors and volunteers, we bring a wealth of experience to fulfilling that mission, from governance, finance, logistics and administration, to marketing, safety, and graphic design.
